NT10i

Gas Network Survey Vehicle

NT10i

The NT10i enables the monitoring of gas networks along the route of the vehicle it is mounted in. The NT10i is based on one of the best available and proven technologies. A selective laser measurement cell detects extremely low concentrations of CH4 in a fraction of a second. Dedicated software, featuring mapping and geolocation capabilities, provides precise GPS data for every detected gas leak point. The user-friendly hardware meets all gas operators’ requirements concerning efficiency, reliability, and traceability.

Detection method:

The laser transmitter-receiver measurement system is adjusted to the wavelength absorbed by methane.

The laser frequency is selected not to interfere with propane, butane, hydrogen, vehicle exhaust gases, or water vapor present in the air.

Sampling method:

A set of hoses mounted on the vehicle’s front draws gas samples from the ground surface into the measurement cell.

A high-performance suction pump ensures the gas samples are delivered to the measurement cell inlet in less than 1s.

The total reaction time of the measuring system—from sample collection to the display of the measurement result on the onboard computer screen—does not exceed 1.5s.

Software:

Proprietary software automates the measurement process.

The ability to import corporate maps with overlaid pipelines allows for easy vehicle maneuvering to ensure maximum proximity to the gas mains.

Vehicle route control guarantees maximum inspection coverage and multiplies the possibility of detecting a gas leak.

Sample intake:

The system components are mounted to ensure easy access for maintenance.

The sampling system is protected by a hydrophobic filter, which blocks the flow of water into the measurement cell.

The airflow is verified by a measurement sensor built into the suction line.

Upon system startup, a set of self-tests verifies, among other things, the patency of the sample intake line.

GPS Module:

A 4-frequency GNSS receiver.

Support for GLONASS, GALILEO, and GPS systems, including support for stationary base stations.

A roof-mounted antenna significantly improves the quality of the received signal.
